Which is nonsense, DRP are their agents and jump to their tune.

Have you contacted the DVLA and BPA about it yet?

Horizon have refused to talk to you. Once DR+ do the same, the problem is solved.

Send DR+ a letter of authority from your client to act on their behalf, then send DR+ a letter stating the debt is denied and they must only communicate with you from now on.

At that point, the problem ceases to exist.

  • I already have authority to deal with DRP.

So a simple letter to DRP telling them the debt is denied ought to be sufficient to provoke a response. Do I have to explain why we are denying it?

Can anybody confirm what ought to be in the next letter to DRP.

    Thanks.

Examples of what to write to debt collectors are in LazyDaisy's thread. (Linked from the stickies).

Usual advice is to ignore DRP completely.

My earlier advice is unchanged. Ignore DRP, but complain to DVLA and BPA

  • DRP won't take it to court?

Am I right in thinking the matter returns to Horizon for further action if DRP fail?

DRP cannot take it to court, they have no standing in the matter whatsoever and can do nothing except write silly begging letters.

For the umpteenth (and last) time, ignore DRP but complain to DVLA and BPA.
