glad you are ok love. Been worried about you these last couple of days. These forums sure are crazy, If I told anyone I have been worried about a lad half my age on the other side of the country who I have never met, but has a fan base of hundreds of women they would think I was crackers :rotfl:Its been a trying week for me and Ben, our shower broke days ago, have never had any central heating in our shoebox of a house, so I have been having a shower at the swimming pool where I am a member, and I have been farming Ben out daily with a towel and bottle of shampoo to who ever will have him:cool:
Getting a quote tomorrow for central heating and new bathroom and it will all have to go on the first credit card I have had in about 20 years. What can you do? Fed up of freezing every winter and doing the dishes with a kettle. Been to get his high school uniform today, no change from £200. Full rugby kit, boots, blazer etc:eek:
Also have to go kicking and screaming to a fancy dress party on Friday, hate that sort of thing, I have played it safe and got a nuns outfit (a very dowdy nun, I won't be showing my ankles.:o
Apart from all that, we are on top form.
Glad you having a few drinks in this lovely weather, hope you enjoying your day, take care xxx0 -
Levi, just catching up and you've given me what will hopefully be the first laugh of many today.
I agree with mummymandy's sentiments about caring for someone you don't even know in real life.
Glad that you're having a great time. Let the flirting resume next week!Spend less now, work less later.0 -
NOOOOOOO! Big post = LOST. Raaaaaahhh, how bloody annoying.
Mandy and Jazee - I wanted to say thanks for stopping in and for your kind words, Mandy I do hope the shower situation gets sorted soon, sounds like a proper nightmare. But you have the right approach I reckon - get the central heating & bathroom sorted out - needs must and it will help your quality of life big time - so if you need any moral support when the fat credit card starts to worry you, just come here and join us all in the same boatIt will be worth doing and you can always sort out the money side of it in time. x x
Weekend has been great - I had forgotten how liberating it is not to have to worry about bedtimes, mealtimes, school nights, home work, tantrums, etc etcThat isn't to suggest I'm not missing LL like a mad thing but I had a lovely time with my friends in Bournemouth (a couple my wife and I had been friends with for several years that moved to Bournemouth last year - first time I had seen their house).. had a few bottles of Fosters and sat up well in to the night chatting and playing Gin Rummy, I think it did me the world of good. The weather was beautiful too and Ozzy had a run on the beach... we crashed in their spare room, Ozzy had his own single bed, LOL. They also have a gorgeous border collie, Suzy, so Ozzy had fun playing out in their big garden with her.
I took some cheap but cheerful flowers, a box of chocs and a toy for Suzy- but their hospitality was embarrassingly generous - they absolutely love having visitors so pull out all the stops, there was a big roast lunch and a beautifully vast buffet at tea time.. I was spoilt rotten and stuffed
I have loads to catch up on today including diaries so bear with me.. lots of washing and chores etc too.. but it was a great time to go down there as it really took the sting out of missing my baby boy during the first weekend he was away..
Speaking of him.. everything is going well! We have chatted on the phone and on Skype.. he had a couple of days of jetlag but is back to his normal self.. Gramma & Granddad said he hasn't had any anxiety or tears or asking about me.. (which is great).. and he has been swimming in the "shadow end" of their pool lots of the time, and Seaworld was yesterday with his Uncle R.. so I am going to hear all about that tonight on SkypeSo far... so good.
Money wise (always forget this is a money forum isn't it haha)... had my pay day and most of my direct debits go out on the 1st.. current signature is the state of play for end of June but I think if I play my cards right you guys can see bigger drops at the end of every month from July onward...
Have a couple of expenses for July (a car repair) and August (car insurance and mum birthday).. but am still able to make ends meet all being well xxxxxx- on a mission to be debt-free by the end of 2017 -

So pleased you've had a good weekend and that Luca is sticking to the shadow end :rotfl:. Love the little things our small people get wrong! DS2 said today that his Dad was going to go 'conkers' because he'd got another teddy (at the school fair)
