Hope your second day at work went well Mr. Glad you made it through the first unscathed.

Sorry to hear about Kate. Lollysticks a great idea. I don't know about you but we had driving rain and hailstones again today on and off with horrendous high winds. Not nice! Poor little plants.

    Much love xxx

    hey dudes,
i've been totally exhausted physically and mentally-what a wuss- only went back to work for 2 days!! but i'm sure my stamina will return properly very soon. it didn't help that LL was extra rambunctious of an evening due to not being at school (which usually knackers him) so after returning home from work i've done extra stuff with him to tire him out more, then i've wanted to go to bed myself by his bedtime.. actually fell asleep reading his story on thursday :rotfl:

anyways.. returning to work was largely fine apart from my workload and trying to iron out some frustrations and things that went haywire. first day back, had a long chat with the nice manager and bought everyone a jam donut to break the ice :D (by everyone i mean 5 people in my team, 70p).
they messed around with my agency assistant while i was off.. the original one left, they then split it between 2 others on a job-share, but both of them finished yesterday, and they have a new one starting the monday after next on a permanent contract. it makes it difficult for my clients because the administration side gets a bit inconsistent and that can have several bad knock-on effects for people who are learning impaired, autism spectrum or in other ways vulnerable. so i had to iron a few things out with that which took up a lot of my time.

went down to £1 shop on my lunch break yesterday and tried to find a b/d present for a kid LL has been invited to the party of next Sunday. can't really send him without a gift. couldn't find anything yet but got a big roll of wrapping paper for £1 which will keep for this and future birthdays.
haven't had a chance to go food shopping yet this week but will do that on sunday @ LIDL.

we're off out later to meet an old work friend of mine for lunch. bringing a picnic for us, and he said he will pick up some fast food.. hopefully we can sit out in the park and let LL and Ozzy wear themselves out at the same time. haven't seen this guy since 2013 when he left my team but always stayed in touch, it will be good to see him. we were hired on the same day for the job that i'm still in, in 2011, so went through the whole induction and training and first couple of years there side by side in everything until he left in 2013 and i was like a lost little sheep without him for a while! :o

all my direct debits go out on monday. should be able to make money stretch during june and july but not really make soo much significant progress on the debt :( i just want cc1 to !!!! off, the interest is still crippling.:( and so is the o/d interest. :(

    diet starts monday.
found the courage to weigh myself on thursday on the scale at the work gym. lets just say it wasnt pretty.

sunflowers: william is really growing fast. george and charlotte, not so much. but they are still alive. the weather was indeed awful yesterday here too Lilt but as of this morning they seem alright - i'll take an updated pic tomorrow. LL was OK about the loss of kate because i had told him from the start that if we end up with one sunflower, it has been a success.. any others just a bonus.
ps: he is loving the new orca videos on youtube and wants to go there to see them :) x x

Hope you have a great day out with your friend! It's lovely when work colleagues become genuine friends in their own right and you stay in touch.

It's just getting sunny here so I hope you get good "park weather" your way and Luca & Oz can wear themselves out! xx

  • Hey Levi

Just to let you know (as you're starting a diet and all) that when I went to Tesco today they had Cucumber, Vine Tomatoes, Celery and Iceberg Lettuce for 39p each. Not sure if that's cheaper than Lidl, if you have one near you or if LL will tolerate 2 shops, but HTH.

Remember, it's best to change one small thing at a time so it becomes habit that lots of big things at once in order to achieve a healthier lifestyle.

thank you birdie, we had a great time.&
thanks for the tip off Mars re: the cheap healthy foods!:)

while i had a chance, i snapped the sunflowers (NOT LIKE THAT. i mean in the photo sense ;)) but its slightly unfortunate - William as you can clearly see being the front-runner completely obscures George who is just behind him, and Charlotte is opposite, obscured by one of my homemade support sticks, d'oh.. i'll try and get a better angle next time but wanted to take from the side so you can see the height.
You get the jist though. Little green sticks from FGN.

    Hi Levi

Well done with the sunflowers!!! You may need to move one of the 2 that are so close together!! No problem with that when they are small so maybe best to do it as soon as possible. The best thing to do is space them out so they all have there own growing space within the pot. Firstly just make a new hole for the one you need to move. Then to move one of them just put your hand in to the compost and cup a whole handful of compost and the plant carefully and lift it out supporting the sunflower as you go!!!. Then obviously put it in to the new hole you have made and nestle it in carefully and tidy up the compost around it!! Job done!!! If both sunflowers come out together when you lift one of them out don't worry just nestle that one back in carefully when you have moved the other one!! The give them a nice drink and then they should be fine!!!

Nice job for you on a Sunday morning!!

Have a good day tomorrow and don't work too hard. Have some ME time and try and put your feet up and relax for a bit.

    lots of Lub Edwink x

thanks for the tip Edwink! they aren't as close as it looks in the pic but I may well move him, thank you. will keep you posted on those!

actually ended up having a really fun time with my friend - the weather was perfect - and we have the kind of relationship whereby we were so close back then we are able to pick up where we left off together despite how long it had been. had lots of laughs on old memories and were freaked out by a few coincidences on how our lives have evolved, especially that he has also been drawn toward lots of parts of Buddhism and once we got talking about that it was "have you read this book, seen that you tube vid, have you seen this app..??" for ages and found out we have spent the past 2 years reading lots of the same books and following the same paths of self development and it had ignited a significant interested in us both , without either of us ever having spoken about it.

anyway aside from that he also enjoyed meeting LL - first time since he was pretty much a baby - and we kicked a football around for ages with him and Oz.

a positive day, so feeling quite good all in all.
going to listen to some of his recommended youtube vids tonight and chill.
