I made it to the wedding
Glad I did as there was nothing to be afraid of(as usual with these things, it is very much a case of just getting on with it). They were happy to see me. When I first arrived (10 min before ceremony) the bride and groom were in the waiting room with their 2 friends/witnesses. They looked genuinely pleased I had made the effort.. sat around in there and chatted for a bit as the Register Office were running behind. Gave them their card.. small talk, yadda yadda, then the bride and groom got called in for registration. Still no other guests. :undecided - just the three of us .... I guess a rainy Monday morning is just a really bad time to get hitched.. but they are due to go away on a big trip soon and wanted to be legally married before their baby comes in August so I guess having a huge event wasn't the top priority.
Just about 2 minutes before we got called in.. another 3 people arrived including another guy I know.... so total 5 guests and we more or less took a row each in the wedding suite so it looked more packed than it was :rotfl:
Ceremony was simple and sweet. :happyhear
They looked really happy and that is all that counts.
After all was done & dusted I went to congratulate them and then ducked out the side door and was gone. But I felt glad went & I know it was appreciated.
I feel so tired today. LL has had a couple of bad nights. I could easily doze off but have to go pick him up in about 30 mins so better not risk it.:p xx- on a mission to be debt-free by the end of 2017 -

Alright I am all caught up.
1. You waffle a lot you lot. :rotfl:
2. 'Stop being fat'. This is on my to do list. if you make any headway in it please let me know how. I've found binging on Pizza Hut is NOT the way to go... in case you were wondering :rotfl:
3. I am unreasonably jealous of your sunflowers. This is a must for me and Jellytot to do next year when her favourite thing to do with flowers and the like is NOT pull the heads and leaves off. Can't wait for the next update!!
4. I am very proud of you for getting out of your comfort zone and going to the wedding. Mara put it so well. I am proud to call you my friend
5. Living with your friend. Have you ever lived in any kind of communal house except for at home with your parents/bro etc? It is definitely not the way you imagine it. Especially when it isn't your house. You will end up camping out in your bedroom as the only bit of safe space for most of the time, even if you have absolutely no problem with your housemate... You just end up feeling uncomfortable sitting on the sofa.. watching TV. I would be all chilled out watching whatever and then people would get back and I would immediately be bolt upright to allow space for people, and embarrassed about the cup on the side. It made my OCD cleaning even worse and it made me depressed quickly. They had a garden, and I was free to do as I pleased in there, but I couldn't seem to get outside without company following me out... If you were mentally the strongest person I know (I am thinking NinjaSavingKat for those who know her, you would breeze it. But it takes the kind of self-assurance 99% of us don't have to stand there and cook while someone sits at the table watching your every move and insisting they aren't hungry then hanging their nose over your food as you eat it. I speak from her experience as well as my own. I used to go out constantly running miles along the beach to get away but as soon as I got back the claustrophobia started again.
5. Thank you to all of the amazing people who contributed to the posts I have been catching up on. I love you all dearlyreally the best support network in the world here. xx

haha Lilt you didn't have to read everything bless ya:)
deffo get your sunflowers on next year with jelly!
we nearly had a tragedy yesterday when LL decided to "show" the pot of them to oz-dog - and he thought it was an open invite to bite them/pull them out.
he was just about to but we managed to stop him in the nick of time with me and LL simultaneously shouting NO!!!!!!!!!!!!
i've not house shared before unless you count my wife.thanks very much for this -you and others here have pointed out a lot of the downsides i would probably not have considered. it is on hiatus until I am feeling 100% again and then i may *may* give it a little trial when LL is in the States.
good to have you back and thanks all for the encouragement on kicking my backside to the wedding earlier and living up to my word for my friend :)xx- on a mission to be debt-free by the end of 2017 -
