glad to see that you have taken the day to have some "me" time, that will help I'm sure,
I agree with HB, put that PPI letter on the fridge and make you smile when you see it, just think you have signed the acceptance letter and that money is winging its way to you.....
not sure about your living situation and set up, but open some windows, curtains and let in the fresh air, look out at the view (whatever that maybe) its lovely and bright out there, everyone feels better in the sunshine, its a fact....
an airy room always make you body mood lift, get some candles lit and maybe sing along to your favourite song... while you are LL free, maybe take O out for a walk, a good walk for you both may help you...

Sorry you are feeling down Levi. Sometimes getting really big news can then make you feel a bit down I find. I felt like that this week when I found out I'd won my case against the insurers that have been dicking me around for the last year. Then I started to feel down by the following day, as although the amount is a good sum, I cant pay off everything I'd like to. Anyway, its not about me, but maybe its a similar thing?" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

thanks Bob - I think that is definitely something to think about! I've had that kind of reaction exactly before following some good news - like a slump hits right after, I know totally what you mean.! At the same time I get these little depressiony bumps with no reason or rhyme so sometimes it is hard to know.. however, I'm feeling a bit brighter tonight (may due to all the lucozade but whatever, I'll take it!). I know what you mean as well about not being able to pay off more, I guess in some ways, the £1k from PPI reminds me how far I have still to go.. like.. in my "wealthier" days when I had loads of spare cash and was debt free, the £1k would have been a fun boost of money I would have blown on something really enjoyable or saved.. but this time it's just.. lost... with loads more to follow behind it.
ANYWAY! Not to be a debbie-downer. Did some number crunching today and should make it through the month on all the contractual payments and will have the landlord payment behind me. By end of May I will be back on track again and that will be here in no time. I am away next Friday through Mon with my friend in Suffolk which will be nice.. and petrol is budgeted for. Payday comes on Tuesday and tax credits on Monday.. not sure what will come from that as they gave me a random amount the other day! I'm never sure what is going on with that though LOL
I plan to be pro-active but in a chillled way at the weekend, if that makes any sense. Will get a few achievable things on the to-do list but not overstretch it, leaving time for some rest and chillaxing. No spend weekend on the cards but that should be OK, we have food in and we can occupy ourselves at home/out in a free way - if the weather is dry we can walk the doggy lots but I think rain is due.
Westie, I did indeed get lots of fresh air in the flat and took Oz on a beautiful walk in the open air for about an hour, just the 2 of us, which was nice and mind clearing, great tip-thankyou :)xx

Is there anything at work that could be amended for a bit to help you be able to deal with it better? Just wondering whether if the stress is coming from work then having a word with a manager about ways of managing workload (or whatever) would be do-able. I was having a hard time with personal issues for a while so I requested a few less referrals for a bit. Obviously it depends on your set up, but don't rule it out completely. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I've read a few people have had extra tax credits and apparently it's due to the end of the tax year they are sending the outstanding amount to you. Only what I've read from other people but sounds logical.Jan 2010 - Overdraft £9,500 / Credit Cards £5,000 / Loan £9,500 / Mortgage £128,000
Jun 2010 - Overdraft £0 / Credit Card £0 / Loan £0 / Mortgage £125,250
Oct 2011 - Overdraft £7,000  / Mortgage £115,295
Dec 2014 - Overdrafts 15,000 / Credit Cards 16,000 / Loans 25,000 / Cars 18,000 / Mortgages 232,5000 -
yay glad the walk made you feel a little better

thanks guys, elsien-yes they've already been quite good with past circumstances of me being unwell but also when i became a single parent, a few accommodations were put in place (like my day working from home, start& finish times)- sharing some casework too. i just get a lot of resentment from my team (ironic, given the field we are in) i hate to make it worse. my manager is very nice though and compassionate to me so no major worries if i ever have to ask. x- on a mission to be debt-free by the end of 2017 -
