Cautious peek above parapet.
I was a techie.
Occasionally there would be a sweep against chain emails & I would run a report early, mooch around a few users & have a quiet word, then run the report again later.
Now I work elsewhere but I still presume my machine can be monitored. I just hope those who do check are still human & minded to educate rather than scalp.0 -
Of course, IT have so much time on their hands. Normally they are complaining how hard the little darlings have to work.
You have no idea how an IT department works. The have to keep all their software upto date, make sure all the servers are running correctly and when 'mavis' cries her screens gone blank, then they have to go an see what is wrong and fix it.
and too Strider590 any Proxy settings will be blocked on all the work PCs, so actually employees wont have access to these setting. ( infact they wont have access to the C drive) so am employee would not be able to turn off proxy settings and if an employee attempted to access these systems forcefully then the IT guys would know and that employee would soon be removed from the building0 -

Most companies are not so much concerned about people wasting time online - they are concerned about people downloading dodgy things that could compromise the company's IT security, visiting websites that might offend anyone walking past that saw them (especially if clients etc might be around), leaking sensitive company information - basically anything that could damage the company.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -
Not sure what your point is.....Other than to demonstrate your complete lack of irony.
