90% prospects of acceptance but no card?!

I've just applied for a 0% spending card having used the eligibility checker. I was told I had a 90% chance of being accepted (as good as it gets) but my application was refused!! What's that all about? I'm so disappointed. I've now got an unsuccessful application on my credit file.

You were not told 100%, were you?loulahoula wrote: »I've just applied for a 0% spending card having used the eligibility checker. I was told I had a 90% chance of being accepted (as good as it gets) but my application was refused!!
It's up to you to try finding out. You can check your credit files and appeal the rejection. What's that all about?
E.g. Halifax Clarity appeal success
What you've got is a credit search. Nothing more.I've now got an unsuccessful application on my credit file.
MSE article: Credit Scores0 -
Hmm... I'm not sure how to take that response.
No, I wasn't told it was 100% because MSE's max eligibility score is 90% which I've heard Martin say in the past pretty much means you'll get it.
Despite your disparaging tone it is helpful to know that I can appeal the rejection, so I will do that. Thank you.0 -
You can get 100% scores - I had one with Halifax as I had an existing relationship0

I think that was probably a reaction to your "my application was refused!! What's that all about?" when it's fairly obvious what it's all about. Some applications get declined. Get over it.0
