I just started a new job about 10 weeks ago, and like you was unemployed for a spell, during that time I discovered that Tesco take money off coupons even if you don't buy the item, for example if you have a £1 off pedigree chum voucher and don;t have a dog, you can use it against your shopping, therefore a money off coupon is like money!
there are some threads on here about it, but having discovered this, I was then able to get some clothing vouchers for £10 off a £50 spend, £6 off a £30 spend and £4 off a £20 spend, what is great is you can use them all together even if you haven't bought any clothes, so you get a £50 shop reduced by £20, this saved me loads when I wasn't working, and now that I am working again, I still look out money off coupons and use them weekly at Tesco - hope this helps, but it really is worthwhile looking into

Welcome, kailey  We have an older thread about the cheapest place to shop, so I'll add yours to that.

I like to shop for special offers at the supermarket. I also find the butcher and farm shop to be better quality and cheaper than supermarket fruit and veg.

I have an Aldi about 5mins away but i never get anything in there i want the veg is a rubbish selection and goes off very quickly and theres hardly any choice on anything else, maybe it just this one cuz it might be smaller or something.
