    IIDB isn't means tested.

I'm aware of that but those on IDB and ESA are only allowed permitted work under IIDB Ithink you could on earn up to £97 before the benefit was stopped, its £104 for ESA.

IIDB isn't incapacity benefit, it's Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit. Permitted work doesn't apply.

Lol.....so it is, total confusion on my part.:o

i am surprised that industrial injuries benefit doesn't count for tax credits, as it is taxable and counted as income for housing benefit etc

IIDB is one of the excluded benefits for tax credit purposes.
Forums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.

What advice are you looking for ?

I've just read about the free boiler grants and the qualifying conditions that would entitle someone to claim. From your opening post it seems that you are. Check your entitlement
  • The issue is my tax credits award notice is £15800 but it does not show my income from iidb which is about 4k .so this is where i get conflicting advise the fuel advisory service say they would only use my tax credit award as my income but others have said they will use my total household income which would be £19800 ish so would be too high to qualify

Why not simply send your Tax Credit award notice and any paperwork relating to iidb?

All bases covered then and you are being totally clear with them as to your income.
