Hi
Has anyone been able to start a "Live Chat" session on the sky.com web site?
I've been trying to confirm some details regarding the MSE offer that expires on Friday but it has been permanently busy for the last week.

i cancelled via chat yesterday - prob always busy as they seem to type so slow and repeat themselves - took over an hour0

I got straight through to live chat when I called to negotiate a better deal - but I logged on first thing in the morning and suspect I just got lucky! I waited less than a minute to start the chat and the whole thing took about 20 minutes.0

I can certainly help you on chat but it will take longer....as I am going to get a coffee somewhere in the middle of the chat and go to the bog and we know we can't call you because you would have if you wanted too.

So I understand you want to cancel, do your kids like sky. Yes
What do they like to watch...
then it goes two ways, you get chat rage and tell them CAN WE JUST CANCEL THE PACKAGE or you press the end chat. Only thing that's guaranteed is...there is a survey at the end!
Tried to cancel sports as know one watched it, was asked 20 times what I liked about the sports package!0 -
Yes...it is like watching paint dry using Sky chat.........but much less frustrating than having to repeat yourself over an expensive premium rate number....and YOU can get on with other things in the inevitable gaps in the "conversation"-make coffee,check bank accounts,emaile etc....took me ~ 75 minutes to cancel last year...but worth it as I ended up "saving" over £300 pa on my deal !!0

I have waited for just over two hours this morning with no success.
I'm not going to pay a connection fee and revenue earning call rate to speak to Sky on the phone.
I turned down their 50% discount offer when I cancelled about 18 months ago and the whole process was difficult. This reminds me what a terrible company Sky are to communicate with.
The MSE offer would make Sky reasonable value but I'm afraid I won't be using my code.0 -
There are one or two textphone apps available that are intended for the deaf but are freely available to install on iPhones etc. Its rare with that not to get someone on Live Chat with it within 2 minutes or so but its up to your own concious on if you should be using such a tool and possibly delaying a disabled person getting to speak to a Sky agent0

I was trying to use live text chat on the sky.com web site to avoid the telephone charges and aggressive sales techniques I have experienced in the past. Is this service only for disabled people?
I would certainly not intentionally use any device or tool intended purely for disabled people.0 -
The live chat the other poster mentions isn't the live chat you have been using, it's an app you use on your phone0
