Also lloyds and bank of Scotland have zero percentage fee cards.
Tsb has a 1% fee card, but the fee is returned to you if you have a classic plus account.0 -

PO credit limit was the lowest I've had, plus they only allow you to transfer credit limit less £200 not 95% as is usual.0 -
Does the credit limit on the Barclaycard have any bearing on how much you might be able to transfer? e.g. BT £7000 from Tesco to Barclaycard when the Barclaycard limit is lower. Cheers
PS
Looking on my Barclaycard account there are fees to do a money transfer, confused?

Shouldn't make any difference. You're putting your Barclaycard into a positive balance. Credit limit shouldn't affect that.jeepjunkie wrote: »Does the credit limit on the Barclaycard have any bearing on how much you might be able to transfer? e.g. BT £7000 from Tesco to Barclaycard when the Barclaycard limit is lower. It would be like having a £1,000 overdraft on your current account and paying in a cheque for £10,000.
You'd be doing a Balance Transfer from Tesco to Barclaycard. You'd pay Tesco a BT fee if they are going to charge you one.Looking on my Barclaycard account there are fees to do a money transfer, confused?
You'd then contact Barclaycard and say you've ended up with a positive balance and can they give you the money. It's not really the same as a money transfer from Barclaycard.0 -

Couldn't transferring a fictitious balance be construed as obtaining a pecuniary advantage by deception, i.e. fraud?0

I doubt it would get anywhere.. You could easily say you entered the wrong credit card number into transfer form by mistake.. temporarily mislaid card, but refereed to a list of credit card numbers written down.. got confused which card had a balance, etc etc..0 -
Posting back as promised.
No issues at all, worked perfectly but wouldn't make a habit of asking them.
Goes off to apply for an MBNA card...
