A 3rd party unlock via ebay will be your cheapest and quickest solution.

I have a Nokia 301 that I bought originally from Orange. When I wanted it unlocked, I paid Orange/EE for a code but I couldn't make it work. After a prolonged email exchange with the executive office of EE. I eventually got a credit of the cost on another PAYG phone I have with them but they told me they could not help me any further. My local phone shop says they cannot do it and a lot of the unlocking sites do not show that model. I tried the free sites shown by MSE as I have a lot of confidence in the site. However, after filling in lots of adverts and forms opening myself up to a lot of spam, no unlocking code was sent me. Does anyone know if it is at all possible to unlock this phone?

When you have to fill in forms and want to avoid spam, you should use the mailinator website.

Regarding the phone, sorry, hope somebody else can help. Used ebay successfully before.

I'm using a Virgin SIM in a Huawei Ascend P1 LTE ex-contract phone still locked to Orange with no problem at all. Virgin is a 'virtual' provider using Orange. I'm surprised yours isn't working.
