Anyone else...

Does anyone else sometimes quite fancy the idea of their own personal cheerleader? I often think I would quite like one when things are not going to plan or the going gets tough!

I know what you mean. Sometimes it would be nice to have someone who can pick you up and give you that little bit of determination or get up and go.

I'm not the most coordinated of people but here goes:

Give me an H! (Tries an H)
Give me an A! (Tries an A)
    Give me a Y! (Tries a Y)
    Give me a B! (Tries a B)
Give me an E! (Tries an E)
Give me an L! (Tries an L)

You've already got one, and it's available to you every time you look in the mirror!

Frame your mirror with post-it notes of your triumphs and successes and look in the mirror frequently. Look right into your own eyes and smile!

    Go You !!! :j

Nah I'd rather stick to knowing that I can always turn to trusted friends, who have stuck with me through thick and thin and will always talk straight with me when I need it most rather than sugarcoat stuff.

Sometimes though it feels really good to ride rough waters and come out the other side all by yourself. Strengthens your resilience and belief that you can take whatever life throws at you.
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I hate everything about cheerleaders and cheerleading - false excitement and sugary smiles - ugh!

Just give me someone to pat my back, hold my hand or say 'oh well, **** happens sometimes' and that'll do me.

Thanks guys. Really grateful for all responses and some good ideas and food for thought thank you. I am normally pretty good at motivating & encouraging myself and have weathered a fair few storms and dont need or want things sugar coated, but more a pat on the back and gentle words of encouragement or support and reassurance sometimes...

It was a very lighthearted comment just something I think on the bad days!

I'd have a cheerleader. Not sure she could spell out Haybel with my Pom poms but I'd let her have a go
