Personally, of the miners I prefer RIO to BHP even with a lower yield, as its management have been very clear on increasing returns to shareholders, scaling back cap-ex and focusing on being the lowest of the low-cost producers, even before the price of iron ore collapsed. BHP is more diversified than RIO, but RIO's financials still look in better shape. RIO raised their final dividend by 12% last week.This is everybody's fault but mine.0
