Being bombarded with phishing emails means that your email address has managed to get its way onto a spam list. It is most likely nothing to do with your computer and any improvements to your computer's security won't stop them arriving. All you can do is delete them or setup spam filters to delete them automatically.
I agree. Have you ever considered switching to Gmail? It's easier that you would think and their spam/phishing filters are great(although not perfect).0
