ESA back payments for assessment decision period?

Claimants can be, and are, obliged to undertake WFIs while still in the assessment phase. It is only those in the Support Group ( or receiving NI credits only) who do not have to attend. However, unless your mother is on income-related ESA, the fact that she is still being paid after 1 year suggests that she has been allocated to the Support Group.
As the mother has been attending WFI this would suggest IR WRAG...?0 -

72-40 and has to still send notes in0

she needs to phone ESA as she is still in the assessment phase.
it isn't unknown for people to be 'forgotten' about.
if she passes the assessment, any group addition will be backdated to the start of the 14th week0 -
My father thinks this assessment was done at the Job centre and she was placed in a group. My mother said she may mention it next time they call her to the Job Centre.0

Hi just wondering i passed my esa medical i was told im owed back pay to july 2014 its about 2300 does anyone no how long until i get it my rate has already increased today0

should take no more than a few weeks.
just wondering how you get a total of £2,300 in backpay over a period of around 44 - 46 weeks
even with the support group component it only works out to around @1,550 ( presuming you were already on the assessment rate)
or do you also receive DLA or PIP and so receive a further premium?0 -
That's correct, everyone receives the assessment rate for the first 13 weeks then only those that have not been assessed within that time will be due back pay...
I note in passing, that this is not strictly correct.
If you've made a backdated claim, then you can be paid 13 weeks of the assessment rate up-front, and then the support/work-related component kicks in from the date you claimed and is backdated to then.
(this only applies if you've applied for 3 months backdating, were eligible at that time, and have medical evidence to back this up)0
