don the wellies and waterproof trousers

Essential. But a little practice will work wonders. I think holding close and the right angle helps. But I know it takes me a couple of days to do mine. So will leave it another few weeks. I will only do it ONCE a year.
I also plan the operation, don't want the dirty water to recover the cleaned slabs. So I do the two sides of the house before tackling the back, water then naturally flows towards the flowerbeds.

Has anyone tried wet and forget to clean patios etc?

Seems to get good reviews on Amazon but I'm a bit dubious?!!
  • It seems to get it's fair share of negative reviews too. Not tried it myself but £35 is a lot to fork out if it's not going to work. I await other comments on this first!

Had no problems with the Karcher scrubber thing that came with the jet washer (their basic well sub £100 one). Never bothered with cleaning solutions with it, but I do try to clean the patio at least once a year, and will give it a coat of sealant afterwards (Rainbow Sandstone)

Re the wellies / waterproofs. Personally just wait for a warmer day - barefoot and shorts ... its only water (see above). Only thing to watch is that jetwashers HURT on bare flesh, though don't seem to cause actual damage !!!
