Flights with expedia

Hi all. I've found a flight to Oz with expedia that is £200 per person cheaper than direct with the airline. Just wondering what people's experiences are with them, as I've never used them before? It will total a £400 overall saving vs booking directly with the airline.
Thanks

Try making the booking with expedia and see if you get a "the price has changed" message.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

It didn't seem to, when I clicked continue a couple of times, but didn't get to the point where I entered passenger info.0

I've used Expedia before and not had a problem. I've only bought Iberia flights, although in one case this was a BA flight sold as an Iberia code share, substantially cheaper than buying from BA (it was a one way fare to the US).
At one time, BA flights were cheaper bought through American Airlines.
Its worth checking Iberia and American for BA flights, as well as Opodo and Expedia.0 -

It's a long time since I've used either Expedia or Opodo, I found the biggest problem was that communication didn't find it's way from the airline to us or vice versa. I always book direct now.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

The biggest "problem" with booking via an agent is how well the agent deals with things if the airline changes its plans. If you've booked with an agent, most airlines won't deal with you directly, all changes have to go via the agent.
Its not an issue if you have a good agent. But some can be poor (stories of agents not passing on flight changes etc). However, I'd say Expedia are a reputable agent and you shouldn't have any issues. I've booked my last 3 BA long haul trips with Expedia because they were cheaper than the airline. Last year I had a schedule change and they passed it on no problem.0 -
I found the same when booking for Philadelphia last summer.

I bought flights to Italy and back recently, flying out with Meridiana and back with BA.
However, Expedia, Lastminute et al. all wanted an additional £30+ per case in the hold per leg.
I found going to Meridiana's own site I could get the same flight for the same price but, provided I told them at the time of booking, I could have a case of up to 23 kg free.
BA's site made me pay in Euros but it was only an extra €29 per case and the base price was so much less that it was still less than the Expedia price without the case.0 -
I've booked multistop flights from LHR to the USA with Expedia on two occasions, and got a better price with them than with the airline (United), not to mention Quidco cashback and a few Nectar points, too.
We had no problems at all.0 -
We booked Virgin/Delta flights with Expedia last year as they were cheaper. I did try Virgin but they couldn't match the price. Everything was fine and Virgin were happy to deal directly with us for any queries about seats, meals etc."Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee."0
