    I will speak with landlady again and urge her to do something about it. She deemed it non urgent, but when a towel is getting soaked every day that is quite a leak.

    If not will locate a plumber.

    Just had what sounds like the same problem. At first I thought it was condensation on the cistern, but then it started to come through the kitchen ceiling! The plumber fixed it quickly but waited for a while to make sure it was ok, charged me £25 (no call out charge as he only lives round the corner). Worth it not to have to try to fix it myself, but if you would have a call out fee as well, maybe get the landlady involved. Point out she may have ceiling repairs too if she doesn't get a move on!
