No issues with sluggishness on my 2010 iMac / quad core i5
It does have 16GB RAM though.
Only thing I've noticed is it boots from powered-off slower than pre-Yosemite, but as I tend to "sleep" it rather than power off, it's not such a problem.4kWp system (Feb 2014) : 1.5 SW, 2.5 NE (16x Bisol BMO/250, Aurora Power-One UNO PVI-3.6 Inverter : pvoutput.org/list.jsp?id=299350 -
Wifi is crap for some reason. Slow and takes a while to connect, mean while Safari crashes. ;(
Apple will no doubt be forcing people to upgrade soon by way of making it a minimum install spec.0 -

The clean install was of the older OS.
It states the minimum RAM requirement was 2gb, I had assumed that it had meant that its the minimum to be able to run "nicely" not that it will just about work. Speaking to their Live Chat and 2nd tier tech support they did say it should be ok for very basic tasks but for running a load of Chrome tabs, Excel and iTunes together etc it'd be better to stick to the former OS0
