OK I have managed to connect my phone to my laptop and have the directory structure showing ...
Where, in the structure is the contact list held ?
I have searched on "contacts" and found nothing...
I am assuming that it is in the ANDROID directory - but I can't see it.....
it is NOT in data - that simply contains Ancestry data !!

It doesn't appear to be there - the only folder in DATA is ancestry - could it be "hidden" ?

OK - I have used KIES and successfully recover my contact list - which must have been "hidden" - because I was unable to see it using explorer !!
I am also trying to recover a few txt files that I had - but KIES doesn't show them...only media and contacts ..
