Data on Pay As You Go

I am trying to find a mobile phone plan which gives data on a pay as you go basis. The people for whom this is intended currently very rarely use the existing credits on their phone - perhaps £5 per month at the very most.

So I'm quite hesitant to sign them up for a monthly contract which may cost £15+ per month.

Is there a 3G or 4G data plan which can be included on pay as you go basis along with minutes, totaling no more than around £8 per month?

I Use PAYG data on Giffgaf PAYG no problem .

Other than the price you mean?

Three - 1p per MB

Giffgaff - 20p for 20MB and then 20p per MB.

If you aren't using enough to buy a goodybag Giffgaff can get expensive very quickly.

Plus if you have a 4g phone you get 4g on Three Payg.

I've been on Three's 321 PAYG for about 18 months now using a Nokia 301. You get 100 Mb of data each time you top up. No expiry of the top up but the free 100Mb data expires after a month and then you eat into the top up at 1p per Mb of data use.

It's a cracking PAYG deal for low users like me but requires a 3G or 4G handset. A useful tip if a low user is top up only £5 at a time as you get 100Mb free data however much you top up by.

A £5 top up lasts me about 6 weeks.

You're quite correct. I'm well into middle age.

Also IF I remember correctly the £5 top-ups are only available via the Three website. Unless someone knows differently?

yes its 150MB now, but when they started offering free MB it was 100MB.
