Oh Nanny that bought back wonderful memories of when I used to visit my gran as a child...
One of the first things I had to do was actually count the "copper" in the jar then we used to go to the bank and change it up into a note...happy memories of lovely summer holidays spent with my gran..
I hope you have a wonderful time over the next few days with the family.
I loooooove counting up coppers and coins into little piles.
I've been teaching DS about saving up for things etc. So we counted out his moneybox on sunday and went to S to buy a toy he's been after for ages. Put the full £13 into SS machine, in 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p denominations:eek::rotfl: Think i gave myself RSI at the end.. but it made him realise it was loads and loads of penniesTiger
I'm a body double for Claudia Schiffer and i wont get out of bed for less than [STRIKE]£10k per day[/STRIKE] a 1p find0 -
Good morning Elite :hello:
BNI Korma and Cheese flatbreads working this am at 9.30am. Got 2 Kormas and 2 Flatbread £6 paid £4.24 back.
.... and another trip to the doc  this is wearing me downstill coughing and producing yuk
but chest sounds clear and doc has swapped one of my inhalers, so that may now help
Has the doctor considered whopping cough?
 no, that has never been mentioned. I and maybe the doc think it could be the residue from the pneumonia that I've had. I have to go back next week if it doesn't ease up with the new inhaler. Thanks though for bringing that to the foreThere's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Quite funny though, when my DD was too little to eat with us and OH was away once I made his absolute favourite dinner, gave him baked beans on toast and sat down and ate his favourite dinner in front of him. He had a real tantrum, but I told him I had made it so I was going to eat it, he learned his lesson :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

This sounds ominous - will dh be forced to leave the country on Thursday or Friday:rotfl:

morning all - still cold, no snow
Eldest son came home yesterday after 3 night shifts, persuaded him to catch up on his sleep - nearly 3 before he woke up - they think that they are Duracell bunnies when they are in their 20s but eventually your body craves sleep“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Groupon have a nice discount code on their banners this morning 15% off three types of deal, you can do one of each until February 28th - go to Topcashback first and click on the deal from there for another 6% off :j
not that there are many on the list at the mo but you can cobble together enough for a day out or a midweek break etc and keeping within budget.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. not a lot on Shopotize this week so far.
I've downloaded my Fairtrade vouchers including the free tea one and now have to make a list of good enough reasons to do a 20 mile round trip to our nearest waitrose.
so far Ive got
free tea
bread for Shopotize
free takeway coffee
so not enough to warrant the petrol yet.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
