Insulation in walls, insulation on ceiling/ floor between upstairs and loft. All double glazing. Most new. In the process of replacing the front bay room window, it is double glazed but old and draughty. So will be left with 4 older style double glazing, all upstairs. But upstairs is not cold. We have radiators upstairs.
We used to live in the semi attached on the other side. That had radiators and was warm. Mooved next door and thought we had improved it with underfloor heating but feel it was a big mistake.
Sounds like you will be sorted with radiators downstairs. Have heard other stories about underfloor heating being inadequate.0 -
Good morning everyone :hello:Yes... or possibly no .
Too early to say at the moment as MSM is updating until around 9.30 and again around midday.
2 for £3 is on A app for Pringles so likely this will feed through and therefore risky.

Pringles were all in the 2 for £3 when I checked yesterday evening on A com (they are now in the snacks offer along with bombears etc)
All pringles seem to be in the 2 for £3 now on msm.
Laundry 3 for £10 has a few missing items though - I won't be able to do an in-store shop before the noon update.
edit: 9:48 all 24 from A are now on msm.#CHEEKY :cool:0 -
Because it is a nightmare! It is cold. Can never get my front room above 19.3c I am constantly cold. The heating has caused the beams to shrink underneath, creating gaps for big draughts and an uneven floor. Getting the floor fixed but as it all has to come up I'm going to put radiators in. All the vinyl planks have to come off too. The movement of the floor had caused gaps between the vinyl planks. If the floor is fixed and something happens again I cannot go through replacing it all again. The flooring compant blame the builder and the builder blames the flooring company, as they didn't plywood the floor before laying the planks. Even when new and gaps hadn't yet appeared I was still cold.
Very interesting. We were thinking of underfloor but we have solid floors so it would have been difficult. I'm glad we didn't bother reading your story. We revamped the radiator pipe work and replaced some aging radiators instead.....and then had to re-decorate.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Yes it is Tiny and really works well;)and they do say it is better to leave the heating on low all the time as more economical :money:how true this is am not sure but I am quite happy with my Bills and never get a big shock:eek:
Yes it's something to do with the dew point if you let temp go below. Had to explain to dd2 and her uni friends as their rooms were getting terrible mould due to them only having on couple hours in evening.
Big old house of course their bill has gone up but I said better than having to replace their expensive books and maybe lose their deposits over. :eek:0 -

So about what time do we know if this is safe to go for the day, am I right in thinking early afternoon?? Or is it just if the price is going through in my store wi it not actually starting until tomorrow?
You usually have to get you shop done before 6am-ish for these glitches.
I would expect 3x Ariel to fail miserably from any shops after that.
edit: but there's always a chance :rotfl:#CHEEKY :cool:0 -
My house is cold with rads, that temperature is normal in here
We have warm air heating and love itIf it is cold we can get in and turn it on and it will be warm within about 10 minutes, and we don't have all the horrible water pipes running everywhere, and no wall space used up by radiators
That said, we also have a massive 11 foot French window in the lounge and even in the winter if the sun blasts through that it gets quite warm, the house is lovely and warm in the winter with the sun out
We do have cavity wall insulation and loft insulation and double glazing too. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Ignore me just searched it's the 8pack of PP tissues
Thanks anyway xxGRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED
