anyway I am glad I nailed myself to the desk yesterday and caught up with the domestic admin and general household misery so by the end of the day I was on top of things.

I was just getting dressed this morning and contemplating the bathroom scales when a voice said "would you like a cup of tea" Eldest son had finished work at 6.30 so he thought he might as well come home so he did, let himself in after OH had gone to work, I'd over slept so I'd not heard him come in at about 7.30 :D

so then having got him sorted out he went off to bed to catch up with sleep.

I was then sorting the stash out and putting out of date muesli bars in the kitchen cupboard when I had another fright, kitchen door opening  - OH had decided to come home early 11.30 in the morning

so that was the point when I decided nothing very productive was getting done today so when the washing machine finishes I am disappearing into the internet - too cold and wintery outside anyway :D

Hope everyone else is well? Has anyone else had that bad flu going round? I heard that there is a new strain and many friends and kids have had it recently. I seem to be fine though, thankfully. Mummys can't be ill.

You're so right.. i remember being off work once for a few days but I had DD home on one of the days. I couldn't even keep water down and spent the day like a zombie, half dozing whilst the tv became "parent" for the day :o OH came back from work at 5pm and I went straight up to bed.

1 Sickness in children is passed easily as their hygiene is really poor so they are better away from others until they won't share so the longer the better to make sure and
2 It used to be 24 hrs but I don't think people listened at all and figured 'it'll be fine' so kids who were sick in the night were sent to school etc that morning. Definitely, spreading their germs. By increasing it to 48 hrs, they might get 24.:rotfl:

Yes, he's already gone but he was last sick yesterday afternoon and I made him wash his hands etc with lots of soap and water. If it had come out the other end I would have kept him off. Most of his class had a 24hr sickness thing about 2 weeks ago and they all came in the next day.
I have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammar :)
