What a lovely post about your cat Ladyshopper...
I can really relate to it,our previous cat developed thyroid problems at around 12 and had all the treatments we could get her to extend and make her more comfortable...we lived with it and controlled it really well for 5 years and she eventually died in DS's arms...

It took us a while as a family to decide on another cat but our present one joined us 5 years ago as what we all thought was a kittenish 1 year old(she is very petite)...but the vet now wonders that perhaps she may have been a lot older than we all thought...
we are optimistic that we wont be heading down the same route as before but we will keep an eye on things over the next few months...

Our cat too is very much part of the family and having lost one this way its hard to deal with another potentially following the same journey

If it was me with a messy bedroom you could say her OCD was under control. I only touched on the physical things of mine last night, not what was going on in my head, don't think I could write that down. :o That's the thing you can look so normal but your thoughts are so irrational and no one can see them. :(

My family/friends just thought OCD for me meant having to be ultra tidy/organised except for my OH they have no idea the things I could not get out of my head if I didn't do them
. It became a vicious circle, I couldn't go out the house until they were done and then I would be late everywhere and I would be thinking things like I am going to crash the car and start to have panic attacks while driving with the kids in the car.

I really don't remember when it eased, when my mind became free but it did and I am thankful as so much time was wasted when I could have been enjoying life.

Exactly! Some people think that OCD is just about tidiness and if you are untidy then you cannot possibly have OCD  If they bothered to take the time to research OCD they would understand that it is about compulsions and thoughts which can take many different forms and don't necessarily have to involve tidiness.

It got to me that that guy posted that the girl couldn't have OCD because it reminded me how some of my family tell me I cannot possibly be on the Autistic spectrum because I used to like going to rock clubs or they never noticed my shyness etc blah blah blah  If they took the time to research it they would find out that most people do not have all the common traits, especially females. I have at least 90% of the traits but its not good enough for some people, they obviously think they know better than my GP who referred me for assessment

    Good afternoon all.

Did a cleaning shop today but not gone collected yet, will post results later. I was charged full price for the dw tabs which I will be returning to the store (oh collected the order and accepted them)

Cleaning products all RTC as expected :)

Cathedral went through at £1.97 (1 pack extra mature) But I got subbed a twin pack of mature 350g (so 700g) plus a vintage 300g pack for the same price (£1.97) :j So 1kg cheese for £1.97 plus maybe an apg back if it compares well :)

Thanks to the op's for the glitches :)

    Allloooo :D

Rarely have time to post or even catch up here now as you all know due to work ect but looks like I will have abit time now for a little while.

Ive been off work all week cos ive ended up with a prolapsed disc :( thats the current diagnosis at the mo anyway. Had to get taken to A&E Sunday night, been drugged up to the eyeballs with all sorts of stuff. They were worried (as was i) at one point cos I couldn't move my legs but no spinal damage done thank good and im walking now with the aid of a zimmer and walking sticks

Its just ironic that I have time off but cant get out to glitch so im keeping fingers crossed for plenty of online glitches :rotfl: I cant sit for long so need to have slow walks around the house but I'll be around alot more than i have been  just wish it was under better circumstances :o
