Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"

What speed you will get with ADSL Broadband is dependent upon a number of factors, the main influence being your distance from the exchange which affects the attenuation of your line, noise on the line and your internal extension wiring.
ISPs will offer packages that are up to a given speed, influenced by the above factors.
Unlimited is a term applied to the amount of data you download, not the speed of the connection.
You could have a basic Sky TV package for £15, and pay £10 for their max package, £25/ month total (Current install is £30).
You also need to find out, in the case of Sky if you are conneted to an LLU exchange, I.e Sky have their equipment in it.
Best way of finding out the services available to you is to put your telephone number into samknows: http://www.samknows.com/broadband/checker2.php

You also need to take into account the number of users sharing the service provided by your ISP in your area.
Some of the smaller ISPs offer deals for a few more £s, but if you would like a speedier connection at peak times I would look into one of these.0 -
Good point, its called the contention ratio. I'm not sure if all ISPs publish this info.
There is an ISP rating chart here, its all a bit subjective as those who fill these things in are likely to have an axe to grind.
