Having Trouble Posting and Using all kinds of Buttons?!!!!

HiCan anyone help me please?I have used this site in the past with absolutely no problem....in fact always found it quite intuitive to use due to its excellent layout and structure.I've posted before and started a new thread so I cannot understand the difficulties I am encountering at the moment. I have searched the site to see if i could find any help.....But alas, I cannot find what I'm looking for and have been forced through frustration to write this!!wI'll explain......When I attempt to reply to a message I cannot get the smilies to work, can't change the font in any way and if I click on the [more] smilies button or say a thanks button nothing happens except I just get taken to the top of the page?!!! WHAT'S HAPPENING TO ME?? Anyone have any suggestions please?.....I would place a smilie here for friendliness and to show my appreciation for you having taken the time to read this, but alas I am obstructed from doing so, Sorry! Will make it up to you once I get myself sorted out.I have tried User CP to see if I need to change any settings there, but can't find any clues there.Apologies.......Because just want to let you know I haven't typed this as one big block of text, but when I preview this post, I know for sure that it will bunch it all up together, not even giving me a couple of spaces after a full stop between sentences and there is absolutely nothing I can do to remedy it................It's really driving me mad HELP! PLEASE????

When you go into User CP have you gone into "edit options" then scroll down to "Miscellaneous Options" and set it as "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing" then click "Save Changes"

Hello and thanks for the reply Derrick. Yeah have options set to wysiwyg just gone into to double check. Really not understanding why having such problems! Could it be anything to do with my browser maybe. Think this is the first time have posted now the new site is up and running - wondered if this could be anything to do with it?!!!!!! Beating me at the moment, as you can tell. Really missing using the icons, can't send you a friendly smile....Sorry.

In IE7, click Tools (the 'Cog' icon) - Internet Options - General tab - Browsing history section: Delete - Delete files and Delete cookies.

IE6 is similar. Post back if you're using a different web browser.

Try the Firefox web browser - http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/products/firefox/

    It works on Windows 98.
