I saw a dermatologist and he recommended higher than fifteen for face. It happened to be the one in my moisturiser that I wore year round. In summer I always wear factor 30 but am passing on that he said always wear higher than the 15, year round. I have Dermalogica F50 which I use on face now.
There are some really good you tube videos on facial massage. Can't remember the name now. Just 10 mins or so in the evenings and you really notice a difference.0 -
I don't think you can isolate moisturiser alone- if your face isn't clear in the first place then your going to struggle to find one that wont leave your skin looking dull, feeling like it has a film over it or worse, that results in blocked pore spots.
I'd recommend using a good non drying facial wash before you put anything on your skin and if you can exfoliate once a week that will help even more.
If your new to facial moisturisers and are just looking for a quick to use cream maybe try a facial oil? They aren't too heavy (although some can give you a shiny look if you apply too much or have a too heavy cleanser which makes your skin overly dry). There are many brands out there though.0 -
I stay away from cheap stuff, I don't find the user experience pleases me.
But I do think there is very little difference between mid range (no7, body shop, olay regenerist) & the high end stuff.
I recently bought elemis pro collegen marine cream, it's ok....
I really like the body shop drops of youth range, the vit e range & vit c range.
I often fall back to olay regenerist or perform & protect.
I think Elizabeth Arden 8 hour skin cream & lip balms are 2 essentials to keep in the bag.
I quite like declour, & I do like elemis cleaners too.
Am I missing any cult products?0 -
I've tried a wide range of different products, from lots of different brands, I really love the elemental herbology range, it's probably not very money saving, though it lasts for months.
I've also recently tried a caudelie moisturiser, which is quite good, but my preference is still the first one.0 -
I use Environ products morning and night, which are amazing but not so cheap - about the same as Clinique/Clarins. However, if I need to reapply during the day, after gym or makeup removal, I use Simple SPF 30 moisturiser and eye balm, which I think are amazing value for money. The SPF 30 cream is pretty much the same as Clinique Superdefence, which I used to love, but about 1/10 of the price.0

Refuse to pay this and only buy when on offer, usually a tenner but recently got from asda for £7. Should have stocked up.

Not my personal list or choice but these are the main cult products I can think that are not on your list;
Philosophy Micro-delivery 2-Step
Clinique/Chanel/Lancôme/Clarins silicon/water (2 part) based eye make up remover
Mac lipstick
Bobbi Brown gel eye liners
Tweezerman tweezers (nothing else comes close!)
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
Lancôme Genenfique
Boots No.7 Protect and Perfect serum/regime
Estee Lauder Night Repair serum/eye cream
Shu Uemura cleansing oil
Nars The Multiple
Lucas Pawpaw ointment/cream
Crème De Mer moisturiser
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturiser
Bioderma Micellaire water
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse
Clarins Beauty Flash Balm
Kiehls Ultra Moisturising Lotion
Kiehls Crème De Corpse
No doubt there are more; I've only tried a few on that list and would say that I have special skin because my own hit-list does not seem to have more than one of two of the items on the list and there are cheaper alternatives. But these are the products I hear time and time again being mentioned by beauty professionals, magazine rating systems and various review sites.0 -

Mac lipstick? I'm a fan of their foundation, but I've not been wowed by the lipsticks when I've tried testers in store.
Loving sleek lip gloss (not glossy - but very long lasting, at the moment).0 -
Oddly enough, I have just started using the Dr Organic Manuka Honey cream Lantanna mentions in the OP and I absolutely love it.
My usual moisturiser is the Liz Earle Skin Repair but have switched to reduce costs. The Dr Organic cream is the only cream I've ever seen where the first ingredient on the list isn't water. The first ingredient is Aloe Vera juice. It smells strongly of honey but I love the smell so that's OK.0
