Looking for my recommendation for a good moisturiser. I am 35 the fine lines are starting to appear and my skin looks a bit deflated these days, definitely not as plump as it used to be. My skin can be a bit dry but usually I would just describe it as normal. Maybe I am looking at these Bo Toxed Celebs too much.
Anyway Im open to trying new moisturisers and seeing what results that they have - I'd be interested in recommendations from all price ranges, at this stage in life I don't mind spending more on my skin care now if its going to help me later on down the track.
At the minute I'm using Dr Organic Manuka Honey Treatment Cream, jury is still out on this as its only been a few weeks.
Help folks !!

I seem to recall hearing that it's not so much about the cream that you use, but how much of it you use, so you might as well use a cheaper one, but then slap it on in droves.
That said, I really like the Roc range, but they are becoming more and more difficult to find for some reason. I've recently started using Soap and Glory, which seems nice.0 -
I actually love the Cien moisturisers from Lidl! They're only £1.99 as well0

The Soap and Glory facial wipes are really good, I had them once but thought they were a bit expensive for everyday use.0

The best thing you can do is use a high SPF on top of your moisturizer 30 at the very least.
Facial oils under your moisturizer can help plump a bit.0 -

I use L'Oreal Revitalift with SPF 30 and have found that it agrees really well with my skin, probably more so than a lot of more expensive moisturisers I've tried.
It's half price at Superdrug at the moment as well (£6.48 instead of £12.99) and I like the night cream too.0 -

I have been a Nivea user for as long as I remember. There was a documentary a year or two back with blind testing and Cien came out as the best of what they tested. I think there was even Nivea on the tested products. We gave it a try and OMG it is so good.
Just recovered from an infection where my skin went itchy (side effect). As long as I had the infection I used E45 as recommended by the doctor. Once the infection went away, I felt the need to lather something else. Went back to Cien. It felt like heaven. The skin feels so nice now. I use the range now for body and face. And it is so much cheaper :jSPC 08 - #452 - £415
SPC 09 - #452 - £2980 -
I use Aldi Q10 face creams. The night one (in a pot) is about £2, the day one (in a tube and SPF15) is about £1.50. I have the serum too which I use sometimes, about £3.50. I use simple soap and water for cleansing. My skin is just as wrinkle free as anyone else's my age (42) and certainly no different to friends who use products that are much, much more expensive.
I think the secret is to look after your skin from an early age by cleansing and moisturising, stay out of sun, always have a decent SPF in your day cream and no smoking or alcohol. And being generous with your moisturiser, which you can be at Aldi prices. And remembering your neck as well as your face.

I have tried many moisturisers including estee lauder, clinique, elemis marine cream, Olay and lots of others and have come to the conclusion that there isn't that much difference between the expensive and cheap ones.I think its not just moisturiser but your whole skincare routine that helps with aeging skin and fine lines.
I have changed my routine slightly over the past three years and my skin has never been better. I am also a great advocate of facial massage, I did a massage / aromatherapy course and the tutor had amazing skin and looked much younger than she was, she put it down to always taking a few minutes to gently massage in moisturiser and cleanser not just slap it on and off.
My routine is cleanse with Rice bran oil, wash off with a flannel, in the evening I use advocado oil as a moisturiser which I gently masage in for a couple of minutes then a very tiny amount of grapeseed oil gently massaged around eye area, in the morning I use Rice bran oil again to cleanse then use Aldi Q10 in the glass pot with blue lid with a couple of drops of Rosehip oil mixed in. May not work for everyone as we all have different skin types.0 -
at the moment i am using Good Things Mattifier Moisturiser which stops me going shiny and I haven't had many spots while using this, either. they have a few different ranges for all skin types.
i am also using Wilkos own brand toner and primer. they're cheap and surprisingly good!0
