Are three's wifi calls any good?

Do you mean via the "3 In Touch" app? I have that on my phone, and it's good. Not brilliant, but good. I live in a signal where one bar of reception is an achievement, so it's allowed me to use my phone to make calls again. Call quality is fine, I've not had any dropped calls on it, and the person on the other end sounds just as clear as they would do on a regular call.
Texting via the app though, that's another story. Sending out and receiving you have to go via the app, which is a pain if you're trying to keep a thread of conversation together - one message lands in your regular Inbox, another could land in the 3 In Touch inbox.
You can also get some sort of box which plugs into your wifi and boosts your signal, but I gather getting one of those out of 3 since the introduction of the app is akin to getting blood out of a stone. I've tried twice and been knocked back. We're hoping to move to somewhere less rural soon though, so I'll let that slide for now

I'm looking to go on Three network and I heard about their wifi calls but I won't be interested if the call quality isn't good so I was hoping I could hear from people who have used it
Don't use Three but have used other networks variants.
If you've used Skype at all that's a very similar experience. Its like any call over the internet, most of the time they are fine, sometimes they show down and breakup for no reason then recover.
As long as you have decent Wifi signal and connection (ie good signal and reasonable speed) it will be fine, if the Wifi is connected to ho hum broadband it won't work well.0 -
We both have the 'Three In Touch' app on our phones.
We don't use it as we think it's rubbish.
The call quality on our phones is very 'echo-ish' (how do you spell echoie/echoy??)
The text bit is, as mentioned, a nightmare!
As consequence, it never gets used .... unless we are in maybe a pub with free wi-fi and no mobile reception
Opinions eh!!
