I don't think it's unreasonable to exclude damage that's been caused by you running over your laptop. What is unreasonable, or misleading, is the name of the plan, and the fact that you were told you'd be covered.
However, they'll probably deny that you were told this, or say it's a 'training issue' or some such then just point you in the direction of the T&Cs, which you've read I assume..."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Thanks everyone else who had something constructive to advise x
philatio's advice was blunt but accurate. Why are you paying insurance on a seven year old laptop?0 -
Household insurance often covers items like this anyway. I know mine does (and covers accidental damage too). I'm not a fan of warranties. This policy has cost more than £300 so far which is easily enough to replace a laptop that cost £500 seven years ago (probably with a bit left over). The problem is it won't pay out..."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

payed since i got the computer because of course £3,00 a month works out far cheaper then me having to splash out on a new one if anything had happened, only had odd couple of problems in all these years but as i'm not in a position to afford another i continued to pay the money, which now seems to have been a waste!0
