On here there are 35 mth 0% deals for money transfers
yet only 18 mnth for straight forward 0% deals...
Does this mean you can't get a 35 month @ 0% deal credit card unless you are transferring funds from another card?

0% deals for new purchases are almost always for shorter durations than balance transfer offers but 23 months on new spending is available, see http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/best-0-credit-cards0

Rephrasing your question, it's "Does this mean you can't get a 35 month @ 0% deal for money transfers?"
That said, I haven't checked, but intuitively I expect money transfer deals to be shorter or more expensive than 'straightforward' balance transfers. So, your first sentence seems to be incorrect.0 -
The longest money transfer you can get is 24 months with MBNA. As Grumbler has said, these are more expensive both to you and the lender, hence they don't offer them on longer periods (and only 2 lenders actively offer them).
Whilst the 0% deal may end after 24 months, you can always then transfer that to a normal Balance Transfer deal, which can be upto 35 months. But you might as well wait out the 24 months first rather than paying 2 transfer fees.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

The MBNA Low Rate card, coupled with a BT to the right Barclaycard, would get you a 35 month 0% money transfer for a 2.49% fee.
It does involve two cards of course, but entirely possible.0 -

Better yet, Low Rate to Tesco/Santander 0% No Fee to BarclayCard = 48 months at 0% for 2.49%?Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

Pretty sure OP wasn't making the distinction between 'money transfer' and 'balance transfer' that most on here do (accurately) and actually meant that 35 month balance transfers are available....0

You can't guarantee that though.thebritishbloke wrote: »Better yet, Low Rate to Tesco/Santander 0% No Fee to BarclayCard = 48 months at 0% for 2.49%?
But if you could, it'd be 50 months using Santander.

So ok - for example: this link shows 23 months on a 0% card
moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/best-0-credit-cards
yet this one: moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/balance-transfer-credit-cards shows 35 months at 0% for balance transfers
(newbies can't post hyperklinks sorry)0 -
And the question is...?
The first link is to cards with 0% on spending (purchases).
The second link is to cards with 0% on balance transfers. Some offer money transfers (to a bank account) as well, but 35 months is for balance transfers from CCs only.0 -
Ah right - one card is offering 0% JUST on purchases and the other on the actual money being transferred - I see... so if someone took the 'transfer' card option - with out anything to transfer - the rate on purchases presumably wouldn't automatically be the same deal...?0
