Surviving the coming bank crisis

Experts are predicting another bank crisis within the next 18 months, a crisis worse than 2008. I cannot find any logical and coherent advice as to where I should put my money in order to ride the crisis. Absolute return funds do not appear to fit the bill. Stuffing my money under my mattress is more efficient. Are there any funds that are gearing up to ride the crisis? Funds that are not investing in banks or other companies that will be worst hit by the crisis?

HM Government provides up to £85k cover per person per bank or building society account so those are safe havens. If you want more than just cover against bankruptcy. E.g don't want funds to lose value then that's a more difficult matter.

Since you obviously have a direct line to a group of experts who know more than the rest of us perhaps they suggested where you should put your money.

Anyone have a link for a fireproof mattress cover?

In my house, everyone has been wearing protective hats for several months now. You got to be prepared for everything these days.

Anyone got any better hats? I'd also consider upgrades to the man and the cat. It doesn't have to be a cat, a new car would do as well, as long as it is safe.

The likes of Personal Assets Trust are very bearish, and don't tend to lose much in the downs. Mind you, they don't make much in the ups either ...

If you're completely sure the storm is coming, then golds and gilts are your best bet.
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.

    Upcoming crisis?

Well it depends what level of crisis you expect but for a normal downturn defensive stocks are often suggested such as utilities and food on the assumption people will continue to want to eat, flush the loo and heat their homes no matter what.

Other than that gilts and gold as suggested previously.

Is the Twentyfifteen Storm (as future generations will undoubtedly refer to it, with a lot of jealousy - you heard it here first) happening under our very own eyes and we are not part of it unless we pile in?

PILE IN, I say, but I think it would be worth it to ask Percie, who studiously first alerted us to this unique opportunity, for their priceless advice first.

C'mon Percie, tell us how we can give you [STRIKE]some[/STRIKE] all of our money. We beg you.

Is this the same crisis that was predicted last year? And the year before?

Some year it will happen and then everyone can go "I told you so".
