Thanks for the info. Also I thought too that you couldnt get cashback with a credit card but my credit card is with sainsburys and everytime I go in I'm asked if I want cashback?? If this is possible do you know if I would be charged & also if the cashback would appear on my statement. If you have any ideas would you let me know.

Yes cash back is shown on your statement, well it is with RBS and Santander bank accounts.
Are they asking about cash back before you hand the card over ?
No you can't get cash back on a credit card, only a debit card. You can withdraw from an ATM though but a will be charged though and i bet a fee would be applied if you could get cash back at a till.0
