Hi don't know if anyone knows who I take this too, as ebay CS I speak to on the phone are not listening, Paypal understand it and have been helpful, they have verified that I am owed money but unfortunately as it is complicated ebay CS appear not to understand and are refusing to help>>>
story is I had two cases that I appealed and was successful in those appeals.... This is the 2 scenarios =

Paypal Transactions
8th Dec buyer paid in = balance £50
29th Jan Payment Held paid out= Balance £0
29th Jan Hold Reversed paid in = Balance £50
29th Jan Dispute balance removed paid out = Balance £0
30th Jan Ebay reimbursement taken paid out = Balance Minus -£50
2nd Feb Ebay pay in = Balance £0

I am still owed the original payment of £50...

All have seperate UTR's in Paypal....

The second is even worse:-

23rd December buyer paid in £184.95 = balance £184.95
10th Feb Payment held in Dispute = balance £0
11the Feb Payment reimbursed to ebay = Balance minus -£184.95
11the Feb Payment taken by ebay = Balance minus -£369.90

Horrifyingly they now owe me the £369.90 that they have taken from my account + the held amount of £184.95 plus the £50 they failed to refund making a total of £604.85

I am having real problems explaining this to ebay, but as I said Paypal understand and have agreed, so where do I take this next, does anyone know....Ebay are point blank not listening..

I'm afraid this makes no sense.
I will assume in both cases goods have been delivered to the buyer and not returned?
I understand you are out of pocket by £50 for the 1st transaction.
The 2nd however is for £184.95.
So how did this become tripled to £554.85?Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.
If you don't like my opinion feel free to respond with your own.0

How do eBay owe the money? eBay only take funds to pay your fee's
Paypal hold the funds & only refund back to your buyer not to eBay.
This looks like you've withdrawn the funds; 29th Jan Dispute balance removed paid out
Then Paypal reimbursed the buyer on eBay's behalf [making it minus £50] & paid it back to you, making it zero again.
What happened to original £184 that Paypal held?

First Item was delivered customer claimed INR, tracking showed customer signed for and received the item - when tracking does not show the post code Ebay does not award the claim. I appealed and won by giving Ebay my account and password to my postal account which gave them all that relevant info which they could not see in the customer tracking screen, hence the appeal was the granted.
The second item, customer did not want item and decided to return it, they gave a bogus tracking number, this was not checked by ebay on initial claim when it was first granted, I had to ask ebay for the tracking number to find out where this item was, as we had not received it back we assumed they had verified the tracking, it turns out that they had not, hence the appeal was granted.
I hope that clears that one up on why the appeals where granted. The 2nd however is for £184.95.

Exactly why did they take all that money out of my account is the same question I am asking. Those transactions I provided of are exactly as they appear on my paypal statement balance details...
23rd December buyer paid in +£184.95 = balance £184.95
10th Feb Payment held in Dispute -£184.95 = balance £0
11the Feb Payment reimbursed to ebay - £184.95= Balance minus -£184.95
11the Feb Payment taken by ebay - £184.95 = Balance minus -£369.90
Balance is -£369.90 they owe me that they have deducted from my account on two separate occasions + the original payment of £184.95 = £554.85.
Hope the calculations are clearer now..0

Problem solved, possibly, maybe 6 months to a year later.0

You need to carry on with contacting Paypal, try and escalate a complaint there. Paypal over the phone are usually pretty good, Ebay aren't.Shineupon128 wrote: »

The first transaction, however, where tracking does not show correct/any postcode is a problem you need to take up with the courier. It may well have not been delivered correctly.
My guess would be there have been crossed payments at Ebay and/or Paypal, check how they have been funded..0

Found this on the boards, haven't read it, but it may have more detail in.

I've made no comment about them being above the law. Your advice is, at best, flawed.Brooker_Dave wrote: »They'll cough up as soon as the summons arrives.
Why we all have to pretend ebay/paypal is beyond the law is a mystery
I'm yet to hear you share your experiences of having taken Ebay or Paypal.
If all anyone had to do to get money out of Ebay was issue a summons then we'd all be doing it. I wouldn't doubt that they get some summons and that they weigh up whether they are worth defending. I'd assume many get a cheque payment, just to save them time and hassle, some are inevitably going to get defended, they will have a legal team..0
