No bill

Hi, I'm Paul a new member and wonder if there is anybody out there with a similar problem regarding their energy provider. I have been with First Utility for about 3 years and have always provided online meter readings and recieved regular bills every month. But they have now stopped sending me bills despite the fact I still give them regular meter readings. I have been in contact with First Utility 4 or 5 times asking them to send me an up to date bill as the last one was in January 2014. Their reply is that they are assessing my usage as I have had a solar panel system fitted on the roof of my property which has of course affected my electricity usage.
According to Martin's Money Tips website I would now be able to save money as there are cheaper suppliers out there right now but am unable to switch to a different company until I settle my final bill.
Does anybody have any suggestions as quite honestly I am dreading the bill when it does finally arrive?
Thanks in advance, Paul.

What is actually stopping you switching now? You won't get a final bill until you have switched. That may even prompt them to send you a bill.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
