European cities which are good for photographers

you couldn't go wrong with a return trip to Venice.
Prague, Krakow or Budapest also great for a keen photographer. Obviously best to go out of season if you can - I've found that by going Monday to Friday you can completely avoid the stag parties and flights can be a bit cheaper too0 -
I really liked Barcelona and think it's a great city to visit - it doesn't have the same feeling of history of some European cities but there is still some nice architecture and pretty streets and some really interesting sights that are great for photography (Parc Guell and the other Gaudi sights were my favourites).
Prague would also be a great choice - it has a wonderful feeling of history and some really beautiful streets and buildings and interesting public art.Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -
I agree with some of the previous suggestions like Krakow, Budapest and Lisbon but would also like to suggest Heidelberg. I have some beautiful photos from there.0

A friend of mine mentioned Dubrovnik this morning, a beautiful old walled city. She specifically mentioned that it was a photographers paradise. I've not been, but it's on my list now!
Was thinking Dubrovnik as I read through the thread. The old walled city is beautiful. You can walk the entire wall, which provides lots of interesting photo opportunities.0 -
Edinburgh and London are hard to beat0

Estonia's Tallinn has Hanseatic buildings & a great deal of history still looking glorious.
Get down to the university in Tartu & see how brilliantly close the folks are to the studies & the woods & fields. (Less architectural more landscapes with figures)
Hit the beaches & find playgrounds designed & built for visiting Russian children - spaceship shaped climbing frames etc, as well as possible lumps of amber.
Back in Tallin, when light & energy fail, they have Viennese-grade coffee & sticky bun places...0 -
Granada with the Alhambra and nearby Cordoba would give plenty of photo opportunities if you want somewhere a bit different. Lisbon is also a great option with Sintra a short train journey away with its Castle. You also have the beaches at Estoril and Cascais along the coast if you get tired of the photo opportunity areas.0
