Hi All
I'm still a Newbie on this site, but have been following ideas and cutting back on areas I have been able too. Cut groceries/petrol from £80 a week to around £40 a week and moving all surplus funds to a high interest account :money:
Over the past 2 months I have saved a packet! All meals from scratch, only using car when needed (daughter & I both disabled-Im basically housebound)cutting down on amount of washing/dishwashing etc!!
Anyway had our Car Insurance renewal quote through this morning and they have offered us "a really cheap quote" of £395.90 for the year fully comp  Funny that last year was cheaper and one years less no claims
It is a big engine car and sports model but 8 years old-we're driving it into the ground as we cant afford a new one! We were just going to go THFT, and cheapest on Confused.com was £278.00 for the year-not bad!!
Just saw the advert for Privilege, so thought I would have a look to see if there are as competitive as they say......well they were!! I have just got the years insurance fully comp, window cover, low excesses etc for the grand total of £295.10p  £100 cheaper for the same cover
Also as a bonus, I can pay this over 10 months with no interest to pay by DD :T
Just wanted to say thanks to all of you for all your much valued advice!!
