    I've been Money Tipped!
Well, I got the cancellation email using the same email address I had used before Christmas, so used another email address for a trial 12 issues to Mum at a different address, but billed to me.
    That has gone through.
However, I phoned Immediate Media to cancel the first DD last week and then today's post brought a letter from them cancelling the order to my Mum which had been accepted.
On phoning, it seems they cancelled the wrong DD and when I asked if I could have the 12 week trial again, the woman said sure why not, lots of people do it several times!!
So now, I am getting the 12 week trial. Very confused.
My advice would be to ring Immediate Media direct ((01795 414 746). Take no notice of the premium rate 0844 no. given - and speak to someone. It's worth a shot!!
  • hi, sorry to sound a bit dumb but I have taken out the £1 for 12 issues subscription and want to cancel the dd but cant find where to do it on the immediate media website when ive logged into my account.is it a case of having to phone them to cancel or is it possible to do it on their website and ive missed it?

Not sure nellynooner (lovely name), I've always phoned.

Forgot to add in my post yesterday, not to cancel the DD too soon.
Mine was supposed to be taken on 7th March, and I confused the first £1 with the larger amount of £33.80, so cancelled with the Bank.
When I spoke to them yesterday, I was told not to cancel until AFTER the £1 had been taken out of my account, as this would lead to all sorts of problems with the account.
So to anyone who has cancelled their first DD of £1 before first collection, I would advise reinstating it until after this has been deducted and then cancelling.

I always wait until the £1 direct debit has been taken from my bank account before cancellation (don't do it before as you will just confuse matters - sometimes this can take a couple of weeks).

I use the reply link on the confirmation email to cancel my subscription. I then cancel the direct debit via my online banking.

You will get an email from Buy Subscriptions confirming cancellation and also recommending that you cancel your DD with your bank. HTH
  • thank u iris and cupcake! I will wait til 14th mar then when they said theyre taking the £1 and then phone them to cancel.
