What ever you do, do not use Convey Law, they have been disastrous with 3 very major oversights so far during our sale.

  • To second this - Do not use Convey Law.

I sadly didn't find reviews prior to using them. They market along the lines of efficiency but it's about their efficiency and money. They want to charge for services such as 24h online status check - but they told me they only update it once a week. They take a week to answer every single enquiry.

I was told I could say which services I didn't want to use if I wrote and told them - that's the one email they haven't responded to - it removes £ hundreds in unnecessary charges from my bill.

Having had great conveyancers, and my choice was being used by the vendor, I'm so sad that I fell for their marketing. They are frightening.

They'll only do what you ask when you email that instruction but won't respond adequately by email to my questions. I can't tell someone to steer clear enough - I can't see how the Office of Fair Trading, Legal Ombudsman and Watchdog aren't all over these people.

None of the parties, vendor, their solicitor, estate agent or me have ever experienced anything like it. They have almost wrecked the purchase when we're all capable of trying to make it happen ASAP. They just cite their terms, industry standards and awards. Awards - how they got any is beyond me.

It is quite likely that I will pay £1000+ for legal work and the purchase may not go through, they've made such a long-winded mess of it. I will be reporting them to their industry standards commission/ombudsman and Law Society.

I found them quite quick and efficient; 2 months 28 days from offer to exchange (No chain).
