A standard private parking ticket with a twist...

Hi all,
I recently got a parking ticket from Vinci, whilst parked outside Xscape in Milton Keynes. I've researched this quite a bit, and I'm aware I should wait for a Notice to Keeper and then slap them with the appeal letter.
The only thing is... I had paid for parking that day using RingGo, only it was with my employee permit. This is valid in the adjacent council spaces, but doesn't work in the private spaces. When I parked up, it was dark and didn't pay attention to the colour of the line (I've been using my permit in MK for two years parking a matter of metres away, and was in a hurry).
What I'm worried about is whether Vinci are capable of checking with RingGo and can see that I did in fact attempt to pay the parking on the day, but just did it incorrectly.
Thanks, let me know if you recommend I edit the post if it's not ambiguous enough!

No twist, read the newbies thread.0

Thanks for the warm welcome.
I have read it, it says that when I appeal I should by no means mention that parking had been paid for on the day in question.
My question is are they able to see when you have paid via a RingGo account regardless? I think the private spaces may use RingGo too so if they potentially saw that I merely paid the wrong tariff, would my appeal be void?0 -
To be honest the PPC company will not care about any mitigating circumstances at all. They just want your £££
This may be a factor to use later in any POPLA appeal but for now you need to start reading through the 'newbies' sticky/thread

Ok. I've had my response from ZZPS on behalf of Vinci Park after sending the first template in the newbies thread.
...and they pulled me up for using an internet template. The irony being I'm sure nobody spent 10 minutes on their reply.
There seems to be no POPLA number in the rejection email. I've been reading up lots and it seems like this is necessary to carry on.
What now?0 -

Someone else will surely help more but I think ZZPS are a debt collection agency? If you have not had a POPLA code from the actual parking company Vinci then maybe contact BPA letting them know?
I would ignore ZZPS completely personally.0 -
Thanks for the warm welcome.
I have read it,
If you had read it, the reason why is amply explained in post one of the Newbies thread.
We see people pitching-up here every day, thinking their "case" is somehow special, different or otherwise unique - when in reality, they are all in exactly the same boat as everyone else with a PPC invoice.
The number of people who really do have something different is vanishingly small - Probably about as rare as genuinely issued PPC tickets,0 -
debt collectors dont issue POPLA codes, so its not surprising that they did not issue one, its inevitable, seeing as its not a part of their remit
the PPC issue popla codes (in this case VINCI) , providing they (VINCI) accept the appeal in the 28 day timeframe, OR if directed to by a judge in a court case0 -

Apologies for the sarcasm, that post was a while ago. I'd gotten a bit lost in the sea of information and was following the flow chart blindly.
The NTK has Vinci Park at the top, but references to payments on the back refer to ZZPS. I appealed to the email address on the NTK (appeals@ipaymypcn.net if it makes a difference) and ZZPS have replied to it.
I have only just realised they don't actually say at any point in the email that my appeal has been denied. Is this significant?0 -

Sit and wait then I guess, I've heard nothing from Vinci thus far.0 -

I would complain about this lack of comms and detail and missing popla code to s clark at the BPA and give copies of all paperwork and add a timeline
let the BPA investigate why there has not been a proper reply within 35 days by the PPC or a rejection + popla code by the debt collectors or by VINCI0
