If encrypted means WPA security which needs a network key, then yes. Thanks to all. It's been a long day so I'll try as suggested tomorrow morning & report back.0

Help please
My daughter has got the same problem with her computer, the problem started on saturday, the message "limited or no connectivity " kept coming up and she can't get on the internet. So we did everything mentioned above but to no avail, then spmeone at work said they had the same problem and they just went into system restore to a week prior to the problem- and hey presto it worked.
I came home today and tried it, but the computer will NOT restore to any date prior to Saturday
Any ideas/suggestions please- and why wont it let me restore to an earlier date?0 -

Hi
ok- (cringe) for whatever reasonmy daughter has always piggy backed off another network (yes I know) So when the problem developed on Sunday we connected her upto our network, which is netgear and is connected to Sky Broadband, we saw it on the available networks and typed in the WPA code- it connected (Very briefly- kept flickering on and off)
And there we have it, tried to restore the system to any date Sunday but the PC wouldn't allow us.0 -
My guess is that your wpa code, or the encryption type is wrong.
Is it wpa-psk/tkip on the pc and router?
See my posts in this thread for tips on how to stop it connecting to other networks.
