either way it's going to be expensive.
method 1:
two people go to client in a vehicle, one person collects keys and drives client vehicle back. Same trip done second time round. 5 minute drive? well for delivery & collection it's 4 x 5 minute drive. Two man labour as well. Plus these are unfamiliar trips so they arrive but dont know if they're at the right address so don't find the house first time round add 10 minutes to the time. Faffing around with client once they find the place - getting keys. clearing car out to take away etc. All takes time.
You local mechanic might offer that service. Mine does, but that's because he knows I'm dependable and igf I say the cars ready to collect at 17:00 - it will be ready to collect. PERIOD. Average customer isn't like that. You arrive at clients address at clients leisure - you can bet they'll be slow and take their time.
I know someone who had a mobile valeting service and it was a pain in the ar*e. They arrive and the client isn't ready - they haven't parked in a suitable spot. They arrive and client is at the local pub takes 5-10 minutes to come and meet the valeters. They ordered an interior service and the whole car is full of stuff inside that eats into the time.
method 2:
a recovery vehicle is used by 1 person, cost of recovery expensive, recovery vehicle expensive, insurance for said vehicle expensive. So recovery vehicle charges £60 p/h for collection & delivery plus £1 a mile charge.0 -
to be fair, i used Service stop last year. They did advise some additve or other, but i was not given any hard sell.
there were no issues with the MOT or Service.
I guess i may have been lucky.
But it's worth noting, i think.Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..
