Basic bank accounts

Again its all to do for effect, if you want to impress someone and make them think you have lots of money, maybe a girlfriend etc then you can wave the Cater Allen card around when you pay for the meal, it must be a London thing. Although I have never done such things.
I wouldn't care for a girlfriend, or anyone else for that matter, who is cheap enough to be impressed by a piece of plastic.
Anyway, what has private banking got to do with Basic bank accounts? Do you know what Basic bank accounts are?
PS. Do you have a problem with London?0 -

As I said in a previous post, each branch has its own products so you have to ask or telephone your local branch, I also said they offer standard accounts and not basic as another member implied they were private, they are not. They may be able to help the OP at a local branch if there is one near the OP.0 -

A basic bank account, yes, you get a basic card which can only be used at certain ATM's and you cannot use direct debits with the account, that is what is was at Metro anyway. Is there an official description of a "basic account"?
You could say the C.A 5k account is their version of a basic account.
I don't have a problem with London, if I did I would not live there.0
