Thanks! I should have said Electric Ireland charges £0.1623 per unit including VAT but how much does SSE Airtricity actually cost per unit?0 -

Note that the tables of tariffs at the above link have not yet been updated to reflect the price changes in electricity and gas which have been announced recently and take effect in March/April.0 -
Power NI and Budget Energy have announced reductions to their electricity tariffs. For more information click here. Please note that these tariffs are not currently available until the dates specified.
I can only presume the table will be updated as and when the changes take effect.0 -
Thanks for this Darwin-rover. Interesting that it's always coming into spring that they cut the prices0

Does anyone know how much SSE Airtricity actually cost per unit and if they have reduced their prices yet?0

I just signed up for the 2 year discounted deal with Airtricity last week, prices are currently 16.32p per unit inc vat, but that doesn't include the recently announced 8% reduction which comes into effect on 1st April - that'll bring it down to 15.01p. There's also a £50 credit applied to your first bill as outlined in my email below...
You've signed up for 2Yr NI Home Elec Ebill_G
Your guaranteed discount:10% (Year One) + 10% (Year Two) discount - Discount On Airtricity Standard Unit Rates
£50 Welcome Credit will be applied to your first energy bill and credit applies to initial signup only. This offer can only be applied once and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. This will be displayed on your bill as Welcome £50 (£47.62 + £2.28 VAT)

I wonder what type of customer service SSE Airtricity offer?!? I must do some research on them before I switch.0

Thanks for all the responses. :T
I am going to switch from Budget Energy to SSE Airtricity. Does anyone know how long the switch actually takes - is it the 4-6 weeks that they state on their website?0
