I'm already on the cheapest SSE tarriff having signed up recently so I doubt it will lower. Something tells me that it is a fixed rate, rather than tracking the PowerNI rate.0

Now Power NI have announced a 9.2% reduction from 1 April.
Who'll be next?0 -
Hopefully Electric Ireland.
Budget's new unit rate is 16.191p inc VAT and Electric Ireland's is 16.25p so Budget will be the cheapest (I'm discounting Airtricity's 1 year introductory rate) from 10th March.0 -
Is Power NI's Energy Online tariff the cheapest, 15.39p per unit including VAT, for homeowners who pay by monthly dd?0

SSE Airtricity recently announced an 8% reduction in its electricity and gas prices from 1 April. I haven't seen updated tables of their new prices yet but they have often been cheaper than PowerNI, particularly if you're eligible for one of their introductory deals.
PowerNI, Budget and Airtricity prices are all dropping, leaving Electric Ireland the only company not to announce a price reduction (yet).0 -
There will be little to choose for bill paying customers with either Budget energy or NI Power, best bet which I intend to do is to sign up to Airtricity for a two year contract which will mean 10% cheaper each year.

Got my bill from Budget today, for some reason they didn't bother to collect a direct debit last month, strange....0

You got a bill....lucky you ...usually when I was with them I didn't get one for months on end.

Am I correct that Airtricity charges £0.1623 per unit including VAT and give a £50 credit to new customers?0 -
