Nationwide Record-Breaker ?

Can anyone beat or are they making a superbly 'proud to be different' special effort on my behalf:

ISA transfer - instigated in April
Funds transferred 15th May (ex A&L)
Still not set up

The confirm they have the funds but not when it'll be set up - 'they are busy'

Do I have the consolation of being a record breaker ?

I have a similar ongoing thing with Barclays. Applied for their Tax Beater ISA in April, paid a cheque months ago, have had nothing from them despite going into the branch, sending in a complaint, etc.

Race you to the end of the tax year :p

I applied for Nationwide ISA in April as well, funds transferred out of previous provider on 18 May. I have sent three letters and spoke to the same person three times, and I finally received the letter confirming ISA has been opened earlier this week. That said, the last time I spoke to Nationwide was nearly three weeks ago and I was assured that my ISA would be opened within the week. It's over two weeks later that I receive the letter:P
  • I applied to transfer ISAs from Halifax and Abbey in April to Nationwide. Still not done. Nationwide say they have received the money but 'can't actually find it', which puzzles me. I can't believe the trouble I have had just trying to get to speak to someone at Nationwide, I ended up making a complaint, but it hasn't done any good. Also applied end April to open new ISA for current year but have heard zilch on that one too. Wish I had never started process. Pretty fed up with Natiowide to say the least - at least from what i read I am far from alone!!
  • My record breaking run came to an end yesterday.
    Transfer in 15th May
Paperwork received 11 sept - can't view it online but that hopefully is a minor annoyance. So thats the benchmark to 'beat'.

In the end I kept ringing 01793 576757 -( and oddly kept ending up with the same lady (she recognised my voice in the end !)) every two to three days to ask for an update to my previous call. Ask for a call back and for it to be 'tracked' - I'm not sure what that actually means but once it was 'tracked' a manager dealt with it 'personally' and promised call backs were actually made. In my case they had all the paperwork they needed but just nothing happened with it !
Online complaints are an utter waste of time except for amusement. I've logged a complaint about my first complaint having not been replied to within the month they gave themselves. So they have another month to reply to that although they have thanked me for my 'patients' (their typo not mine) in the meantime.

    Good luck
