Why 'luckily'? What people want, won't make any difference to what the market actually does, I imagine most people would like free ice creams every summers day, but that isn't going to happen either.

I'm not sure where you get 'need' from? Sure it would boost my retirement fund, but that 'want' is pretty far from 'need'.

Did house prices fall 50% yet?

Would someone tell me when this is going to happen please so I can get a short on without having to pay to hold a position for years.

The chances of selling on a BTL flat just went down 50%.

    Great.

How do I make money from this? I have a put option I can buy but when do I buy it?

I've read consistent reports about how the market is just about to crash. In a bit. Ah no, a while later. Then over a decade later...........

Yes of course I would have, but there isn't any point in crying over spilt milk. Far better to adopt the 'I've already made more than I need, and I've had a good 25 years out those perks, and I'll be selling up soon anyway' approach.

The time to sell up BTL`s is NOW, not soon, IMO.
