I'm would like 'proper' oak flooring (instead of this cheap laminate that's been poorly laid, by a previous owner). Before I can achieve it I need to become more minimalistic so it's not such a major job moving stuff whilst it can be fitted. I also need to save a few grand so I can afford it!GE 36 *MFD may 2043

The oak flooring sounds great. I love oak and have quite a bit of oak furniture which will last years and years. I definitely agree that it is worth spending a bit more for better quality as it can be false economy in the long run. I'm amazed you've saved money buying a car - I always find them such money pits!!! Although fuel economy in our current car is fab so maybe I shouldn't tar them all with the same brush.0

Lucky has some motivation that's for sure!!!! I reckon he'll have a portfolio of houses by the time he's done!
I reckon we'll be seeing him on Homes Under the Hammer in a few years!

I love it too - would love to have the knowledge that some of the buyers have. I can decorate but that's about it, so that's my HUtH future down the pan.
Shame about the garage - wonder if you could set yourself a challenge budget to get it done within?

Better to be sensible than skint, do it in stages at your own pace, with climate warming, you'll hardly need it :rotfl: Canopy anyone, oops mean canapesJust remember how far you have come in so little time:A
